You have spent months planning, ordered a new booth, marketing materials, and branded clothing. The booth is set up on time, and the staff is excited. But even though the stars are aligned, it only results in a lightweight marketing effort and just a few leads ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐Ÿšจ A common mistake that many people make is demanding too much from their visitors. People are busy, overwhelmed with other information, and generally quite comfortable. Don’t ask them, for example, to download an app from AppStore, don’t have videos that are several minutes long, and don’t ask them to fill out multiple lines of forms. It will only make them walk away.

Some concrete tips:

๐Ÿ‘† Have a touchscreen in place where the visitor can interact with your presentation, or provide a QR code for them to interact directly on their phones.

โฑ๏ธ Keep the duration of videos short and consider integrating them into interactive materials to prevent the visitor from becoming passive and losing interest.

๐Ÿ‘€ Avoid asking for too much information from the visitor; an email address should suffice. This way, you have a means of contact and can likely see the name and company in the email address.

Maintain a clear focus to improve the chances of retaining the visitor’s interest and generating more leads.

The same applies to digital marketing efforts, but we’ll leave that for another day.
